About the Librarian


A former elementary school music teacher, Mrs. Susan Landis Eley received her undergraduate degree from The College of New Jersey summa cum laude and her Master of Library Science degree from Indiana University in 2006.   
Since beginning teaching at Hillside School in 2006, Mrs. Eley has established herself as a technology leader in the district and has coordinated many programs to instill the love of reading in Hillside students.

  • Facilitated digital pen pal projects (IEARN Teddy Bear Project) between third grade classes at Hillside School and third grade classes at Beaconhouse North Nazimabad Primary Branch II School in Karachi, Pakistan
  • presenter, "Critical Issues in School Librarianship" Lenape Regional Consortium Librarian inservice  (Oct. 2014)
